Battery

OEM or lithium battery: which should you choose?

The Yuasa YTZ10S is the original Honda battery offered as a replacement for the one in your Transalp XL750. The Skyrich HJTZ10S-FP is a lithium alternative, described as equivalent in power to the original battery, with a weight saving of 1.5 kg.

Which charger should you use with a lithium battery?

A lithium battery must not be charged with a standard charger: choose a model that specifies lithium compatibility, such as the Electhium Lithium-specific charger or the Tecmate-Honda. The Optimate 4 can also test the battery before and after charging; its lithium compatibility is specified for LiFePO4 batteries. So check your battery technology before choosing your charger.
