Crashbars & engine guards

Upper crash bars or engine guards: what’s the difference?

These guards don’t cover the same areas. The Givi upper crash bar is designed to protect the upper part of the radiator, while the Givi engine guard protects the engine cases and exhaust header. If you want to combine upper and lower guards, check that the models you choose can be installed together.

Do you need additional mounting hardware?

Honda crash bars and engine guards require the Honda mounting kit, unless it’s already installed. One kit is enough to install both guards together. For the Givi upper crash bar, a mounting kit is required if the motorcycle has neither a Givi lower engine guard nor a stock lower engine guard. Finally, the Hepco & Becker adapter lets you combine that brand’s engine guards and tank guards.
